I-39: Facts and Myths in IVF Treatment

Many myths are still present today in assisted reproductive techniques and particularly in infertility management. Most of them exist because we do not want to really look at the facts for various reasons. In this lecture we will review 7 of these myths: 1. HP-HMG improves pregnancy rates, 2. HMG prevents progesterone rise in follicular phase, 3. Clinical importance of progesterone rise in foll...

Au/CeO2 metallic monolith catalysts: influence of the metallic substrate

Ceria-based gold catalysts were successfully deposited on ferritic stainless steel (Fecralloy) and aluminium monoliths. The prepared monolithic and reference powder catalysts were characterized by means of SBET, X-ray diffraction, glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy–energy dispersive X-ray analysis techniques and tested in the CO oxidation reaction. Cha...

Activity of Cu-Co-M (M= Ce, Ni, Au, Mg) catalysts prepared by coprecipitation method, calcined at high temperature for CO oxidation

The present study deals with analysis of the activity of catalysts prepared by addition of different metals to Copper and Cobalt based catalysts for CO oxidation and the variation in activity caused by changes in composition. A series of catalysts were prepared with Cu:Co molar ratio 1:4 and a third metal (M= Ce, Ni, Au, Mg) was added in three different quantities. Compositions were prepared by...
